The Great Hair Experiment 2008

This is the photo documentation of any progress that I may make this year towards hair regrowth. I don't want to fool myself into thinking that my hair might be improving simply because it's a bit shinier or I have tried a new shampoo that actually improves the volume. So I am taking completely honest photos of my balding head every 3 months to see if any part of my current regime might be helping. I am now on a low glucose index diet, taking iron (and vitamin C) supplements, and shampooing with Nizoral 3 times/week. Does anyone else out there know how difficult it is to take photographs of the top of your own head?

My hair

Changes over the years. Once my hair started thinning the thickness of the hair shaft and texture of my hair also changed dramatically. In high school I either let my hair air dry, or put it in a french braid to keep it out of my face. I started blow drying in my late teens when I got it cut into a shorter style. When my hair became frizzier, I began to blow dry with a barrel brush to straighten it. I finally gave up blow drying and straightening my hair about 3 years ago because I thought it was probably only adding to the problem.
