I do not want to leave my home (my comfort zone). I feel old. Do not like or want ANY pictures taken of me. (Was photographic). Avoid mirrors. Since my Hysterectomy, and stopping Hormone Therapy (Synthetic). My life existence appears grey, with zero sex drive. All my body hair is disappearing. I put the hairs from my head in a plastic bag. Telling myself I will use it when I have to go the wig way!

Mother & Grandmother. Will be 60 in August. Clean and Sober since 1980. Quit coffee in 2002 and Quit smoking in 2006. With all that, I have become physically fragile. Subject to frequent bouts of deep depression, along with being reclusive. Medication has not helped. Blood Pressure & Cholesterol, medications to maintain. Overall, I fake "I'm OK" everyday. Recovering from surgery on my left shoulder, on 6/26/08.
There has been extreme and overwhelming pressure during my work, laid off 6/06, working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities. And, my marriage of 8 years, along with the separation of my daughter over no payment of a large financial loan. Began to send me over the top with Frequent anxiety. I thought this period of my life would be awsome and fun. To get out of myself and the "me, me" hum drums. through a power bigger than me, I accepted when asked to help with a campaign for an Alert System for ALL adults that have a cognitive impairment. Seven States have the program, Silver Alert Program. However, only Ohio has stipulated to include those with developmental disabilities. Otherwise to generally addresses Seniors and Dementia. This borders on discrimination, and leaves out a large population of adults. The program is utilizing the Amber Alert Program (1999). There is a great need for this service in California.
