My self esteem (which has never been great to begin with) has taken a severe nose dive. I always used to get compliments on my hair. I feel frumpy and helpless, but I do count my blessing as things always could be worse...

I am 33. As a teenager and throughout my twenties, I always complained about having too much hair! It would take FOREVER to dry. I used to wish for thinner hair.. Careful whatcha wish for. I was ALWAYS a "shedder" (after puberty). It is now shoulder length, and I can see my scalp (in certain light). I have always been a long hair girl, who could never imagine having short hair. I try to embrace my new look, but it pains me to watch it get thinner and thinner...It is so out of my control. I am losing myself.
