What Caused The Onset Of Your Hair Loss?:
How has your hair loss changed you?:
Well, I guess I'm a little hair obsessed. I check out everyones hair, especially women. I think I'm hoping to see a woman who has hair as thin as mine is. I now wear a hair piece/system, so I am much more comfortable going out in public. A couple years back I hated going out of the house, especially stores with their harsh lighting that made my shiny scalp all the more noticable. Now I have some of my self esteem back, which makes every day more enjoyable.
About Me
About Me:
Well, I'm 35 and married with no children (unless you count the cats and often my husband).
I have been dealing with hairloss since my early 20's. At first it wasn't a big deal, then it started to get too thin to cover up with clever styling. I've been to several doctors over the years, none able to help, and some just rude. I am currently trying to get a referral from my primary care doctor to see a specialist in a last ditch effort to make sure that there is nothing medically wrong with me. So if this doctor tells me this is just "the way I am" I'm going to accept it. It's kind of like the stages of grieving for my hair, I'm almost to the final acceptance stage.
My hope is to eventually not spend so much time thinking about my hair. I know I'll get there, sooner or later.
