How has your hair loss changed you?:

Unfortunately I don't have the confidence I used to have. I avoid looking at past photo's of myself. I'm tired of having bad hair days and wearing hats.Since I have lost over half my hair density, hair clips I used to be able to wear are now a thing of the past (sigh) I've turned into a quite a hat collector. My friends are great, but no one really understands. You can't possibly, unless you've dealt with significant hair loss. I don't feel like going out with friends anymore. I kept trying to stay positive for so long thinking it was just my current poor health condition and everything would return to normal soon. Nope, not happening.

About Me:
|
"About me" is tough to fill out, because I feel like I kind of lost "me" with my hair loss. I feel terrible saying that, but it's true. I'm not the same person I was. It's so hard to accept an invitation to hang out with friends, especially if it's going out in the evening and getting dressed up. I don't feel pretty anymore... just blah! Not looking forward to the holiday parties and family gatherings like I used to. I love my friends and family, don't get me wrong... it's just that I am at a loss for attire! How does one make a hat go well with a party dress or sweater? Coping will get easier, right? I'm at the point where I may just shave my hair off so I can be done with it and quit obsessing. Anyone else do that yet?
