On Tuesday August 12th I flew to Dallas to meet with a hair loss specialist, Dr. Whiting.  We went over history, current health and vitals were taken.  I was then given some local anesthetic in the back of my head and moved to a different room.  He then performed a biopsy, which was not fun!  (3 stitches were placed) I also got a kenalog steroid injection in my rear end.  I didn't feel that at all.   He's pretty optimistic that this injection will help me.  It's supposed to last a month.  If there is any re-growth he will start me on oral prednisone.  Has anyone ever taken that on a consistent basis?  I'm very nervous about it.   I'm hoping this trip was worth it.  He does not bill insurance, so it was a pretty pricey visit.  The incision site and stitches in the back of my head are pretty painful making it hard to wear my wig and to lay on my pillow.
