About Me:

I just turned 24 on July 13th and my new husband and I eloped on July 11th. We have an 18 month old daughter, Gracie, together. We decided a wedding, a child, or a house, whatever came first in our lives we would be satisfied with and she came a few days before Thanksgiving of 2006. I am a full-time stay at home mum during the day, and I work overnight as a waitress at a local restaurant just for something to do outside of the house and for Gracie's college fund. I apsolutely love my life and everything in it, though it's hard juggling 40 hrs at work and taking care of a frisky toddler!

That sounds so exciting and romantic! I'm glad you are doing it just the way you want and where you want! Please let me know how it all turns out... I know your sister will be thrilled. Very sneaky!!

As for the weight loss, so you have any ideas with what is going on? That's a lots of weight.. I would be worried also... that isn't saying much, I worry about everything! :o) I hope that you can get something figured out... do you think the weight loss is contributing to the hair loss? My goodness, you sure do have a lot going on right now! No wonder your stressed!

Congratulation and good luck with your wedding and trip. Does anyone else know anything about this... or is it a surprise for everyone! So cool! Have fun!!!

Hi Rebecca, just checking to see how you are doing. I read your comments to Misty and it amazed my how similar our patterns of hair loss are. I have a very large bald patch above the nape of my neck to the left side but it is almost crossing over to the right. I also have a bald spot on the top of my head just to the left side. The front of my hair is thinner now and I have nickel sized patches on the sides of my hairline as well. Do you ever notice your scalp tingling or any other wierd sensations before you find a spot. My scalp would tingle in the spots I would lose hair so I pretty much knew where the next one would be. I thought about posting pics of my spots, but the one in the back looks bad because I had a biopsy taken there and had red spots from the steroid injections. In the next week or so, I'm going to try taking raw thymus glandular. Hopefully it will regulate my immune system. One can only hope right. Well good luck with your wedding. It helps that you're having a smaller wedding. Travis and I just 9 guests: parents, grandma, and brothers and sisters. It made it so much more relaxed.

I guess I missed that before... I didn't realize you had bald spots. Momminy has alopecia areata also, and she is a wonderful resource! She's really inspirational and honest! I'm sorry you are having to go through this with a wedding going on! That sucks, but I'm sure that you can make it look great! It's such a hard thing to deal with emotionally... It can totally be consuming (for me anyway) I'm glad you found this site... so many great ladies here with lots of advice and support to give! It's been such a good thing for me, because I have such a hard time talking about this to almost everyone!

Let me know how the wedding goes!! Where is the vacation going to be?

Thanks for sharing and being honest! I think that's what this place is all about... telling it like it is for others to learn, and for us to have support for what we are going through! Talk more later!! Don't work too hard (or too much!)
