So I went to the rheumatologist today and he thinks I might have or will have lupus. He's basing this on not only a positive ANA result (which didn't concern me one bit thanks to Misty and because I know one in five healthy people get a positive reading) but something called a Double Strand DNA something or another. My reading was a 47.5 and the normal range is less than 5. He's going to do a bunch more tests.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I honestly think that all the medication I'm on has something to do with these results. I'm almost embarrassed at this point. I feel like I keep looking for alternate explanations for my hair falling out than female pattern baldness.  I feel better than ever about dealing with this, and I think the therapy is working. But something like this sets me back again.

This whole journey is so confusing, and I've heard so many different things from so many different doctors. I feel like all I've done over the past two years is talk to doctors and get blood drawn.
