Wanted to share In case there is interest here.

Iron results 71 ref range 42-135
TIBC results 273 ref range 218-385
%saturation% 26 ref range 20-50%
ESR 3 ref range <20
Ferritin 25.9 Ref Range Female < 40 11-120

Not sure what all this means but it was on my lab report. Tracy sent this info to me that I thought was extremely important to share with others.

There are several blood tests that are done to see how much iron is in your body. The ferritin test measures the level of a protein in the blood that stores iron for later use by the body. Apparently in order for current hair to grow well your ferritin level needs to be at least 40. For new hair to grow it needs to be at least 70. Tracy said  there is a website for an iron supplement in the UK called florisene (www.florisene.com). It has some interesting info on the whole iron thing and hair loss.

*/look at this site.

Okay, I know this has nothing to do or to help hair loss but it does help clear a horrid nasal congestion and helps with allergies. The Neti Pot. My husband has been using it for over an year and was able to get off ...yes all...of his allergy medicine. I think my step mother first mentioned it to us for his allergies and after he paid a lot of money on meds and doctor bills he decided to then try it. Guess what- this worked more effectively. So, since I have been having a head cold this weekend I decided to pull out my Neti Pot. ( I learned that you should not share a Neti pot because of personal bacteria etc etc).  Anyways- I rarely use it since I do not have allergies. I didn't want to because at first there is a discomfort. So, since I was soooo annoyed about the nasal plug up I tried it and after three attempts.. it worked. I was not able to breath through my nose at all. I did once on Friday night, twice yesterday and today I am feeling sooooo much better. It helped clear out the mucus and relieve pressure. Thank goodness. So my friends try this instead of a nasal spray and see the results. Oh and yes Dr. OZ from the Oprah show also backs this one up as well. I just love his validations and ideas!

One more thing from mother nature that REALLY DOES WORK!

*Basically you pour water with a little salt in one nasal and tip your head and it pours out the other and clear this nasal passage way. All while your head is over a sink and you are breathing from your mouth. ;o)

Sent you an email to Tracy who said she was having an issue with acne.  I  thought I would share what I shared with her.

So here it is, A secret that my husband came across. It is not really a secret but I never knew about it and it has prove to help clear up an outbreak.

If you have a swollen sore acne, boil etc it may work for you. ( My husband would get saddle sores from bike riding in long 100-200  mile bike rides). He did massive research and checked with several doctors  to see if he could get relief form these sores. Nothing worked until he came across Turmeric. He cleared up in 3 days and didn't need to go back to the doc to get his saddle sore drained.  (I know too much info.). I decided to try it when I had an acne outbreak on my face. Guess what- ---my face cleared up in a couple of days. I only take it when I have an out break two pills in the am and one at night. ( Depends on each person how much to take- try different amounts and see what works for you). remember I am not a doctor but willing to share what has worked for us and my sister and she is a nurse.

I later saw an Oprah show where Dr. Oz said, take all the Turmeric you want, he didn't go into details on the wonders of it but said that it was great to take. I have seen why. Feel free to try it and let me know if it worked for you. We have the brand" Oregon Wild Harvest " this Turmeric brand seems to work great for us and each pi;ll has 453 mg each. This one also has black pepper in it but I am sure there are many of them out there with and with out other ingredients.  My twin started to take it for her acne and had some  really good results with it as well. Oh, it also is a spice that you can add on to food. I think most people know it as that.

Love to know if it works for anyone!

Scalp Massage-

Found info on WikiPedia for help with hair loss.

Scalp Massage stimulates blood flow, which in turn helps feed the hair follicles. Nourishment is sent to the capillary vessels in hair papillae to activate the hair cells. Often it helps to prevent and fight avoidable hair loss, and reestablish the natural development of healthy hair.

A randomized clinical trial of patients with bald patches on their scalp or skin showed a daily scalp massage with essential oils  ( Tea Tree Oil, Peppermint) to be a safe and effective treatment for hair loss resulting from alopecia areata, a condition in which damage to hair follicles is caused by the patient's own immune system. More info can be found here on Wiki Pedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baldness_treatments.

Anyone else try this method? Any promising results?

....letting the Universe guide your energy flow....

Wanted to share an email my dad sent to me. It was sent to me at just the right time and means the world to me

I was really feeling bummed out when he sent this. After this I felt much better. I have good days and bad days and re-member that it could always be worse and to appreciate what I have and rejoice in that.

--------------------

Hi Babe! Hope you're doing better and better....letting the Universe guide your energy flow....remembering that "you" or "I" are really just a formation of particles attracted together for a period of time within this bigger energy field called the Universe or God and not separate from it.

Don't forget to pay attention to this "inner you" and actually "feel it" and its bigger connection to the Universe deep inside you as you go about your business of the day. Oh yes, and Happy New Year!! Here we are in 2008...the Chinese Year of the Rat....which is a source of new beginnings according to their belief system of how the stars are aligned this year. I suppose there could be something to that......

I love you. Feel my arms around you....my energy field vibrating with yours....in peace and love...we are never alone.
Love,

Dad

Earl Nightingale - The Strangest Secret

Well to start. I want to share a quote from Earl Nightingale's - Strangest Secret.

Well it is something like this " We came from somewhere and we are going somewhere - so we should make the best of our life now."

I like that. Don't you?

I took this from my Shanlaree blog spot - thought it was worth sharing!
