What Caused The Onset Of Your Hair Loss?:
How has your hair loss changed you?:
I was once a very social young women, I loved myself and loved being around others. This past year that has all changed...I stay in way more than I like, i'm embarrassed, i'm snippy with others and i'm all around just unhappy. I haven't been able to wear my hair down in years, i'm envious of my friends who can just get up and go , not having to spend hours trying to cover up the hair loss and the pain. I am grateful that I am healthy and that I could be struggling with a medical condition or something much worse and not something so "vain" as hair loss. To me it is not vain, to me it is everything. I want my old self back, i want to feel comfortable when I go out...I want my hair back.
About Me
About Me:
I am 30, married and a mommy to 4 year old twins and have had thinning hair for the past 10 years...this past year it has gotten progressively worse. I began using rogaine 5% about a year ago and saw some improvement, I stopped approx 3 months into the treatment because of the facial hair that I was beginning to grow due to the rogaine. I stopped because at that point I thought the embarassment of the facial hair out-weighed the thinning hair I had. Today the thinning is definitely more progressive than it was last year and I will deal with the facial hair if it means I can get some hair growth on my head again. I am embarrassed and scared and turned to the web for help where I found this wonderful sight that has helped me deal tremendously.
